TYCA
(THAI YOUNG CONCERT ARTISTS)
TYCA Was founded in 2011 by Stefan Sanchez Artistic Director of The European Chamber Opera. TYCA provides a unique stepping stone to exceptional Thai OPERA SINGERS who have the potential for international performing careers. Introducing these singers in Thailand and abroad TYCA brings high quality Opera and Art Song performances to as wide a public as possible. TYCA is a non-profit making foundation and is wholly dependent on donation and subsidy.

SUPPORT SYSTEM
TYCA nurtures through careful assessment and teaching. TYCA provides a master course for a small number of young and exceptionally talented singers, to prepare them for their professional careers in opera.
The course provides individual tuition at an international level and is designed to add dramatic, language and interpretative skills to refine the students' existing talents.
IN THE CLASSROOM

There is a strong emphasis on one to one coaching throughout the course.
- Singers will explore different styles and periods of opera and ART SONG
- The course emphasizes the importance of working as part of an ensemble
- The course accelerates the development of young singers’ performing skills and increases their repertoire
- Students will develop greater vocal and physical stamina as the number of hours they are required to sing each day will be gradually increased
- The course includes stagecraft, acting and movement sessions.
FROM PAGE TO STAGE

Singers are offered concerts and opera roles which are designed to stretch them as artists and to explore, through performing in front of live audiences, the information acquired in the classroom. If a singer is well prepared “one performance is worth ten lessons”
